TheHill offers a range of programmes for start-up companies and clinicians, in the UK and in Europe.
The Bridgehead programme provides European start-ups and scale-ups with individualised support in growing their validated businesses beyond their home markets. During this process, start-ups are guided by members of EIT Health’s vetted European network of top-notch accelerators, who open the right doors to establish and grow cross-border business.
Open API Bootcamp (EIT Health)
EIT Health Bootcamps are intensive incubation programmes for European teams with an idea for a new healthcare product that is in the research and development stage.
Bootcamps target teams of MSc, MDs and PhD students and/or postdocs, patients, informal caregivers and collaborators, as well as professionals. The teams are supported in designing and validating a business model. Bootcamps give participants an understanding of the market potential, competition and target customers for their innovations.
The six EIT Health Bootcamps in 2020 are: CRAASH Barcelona, BioEntrepreneur Bootcamp, Patient Innovation Bootcamp, OpenAPI Bootcamp, MedTech Bootcamp, and Validation Lab Bootcamp. Companies registered with TheHill are eligible to apply for any of these.

Future Digital Skills
Future Digital Skills is a joint programme to be delivered in 2020 by a consortium consisting of three partner organisations: Fraunhofer, Universitat de Barcelona, and TheHill, a digital innovation team based in Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust. The initiative is funded through EIT Health; a network of best-in-class health innovators backed by the EU.
Internet of Things (IoT) Pitch-In project
Pitch-In aims to collaboratively identify and address barriers to the successful development, introduction and further exploitation of Internet of Things technologies across four key sectors, Cities, Energy, Health and Wellbeing and Manufacturing, whilst also overcoming the social and organisational barriers related to Managing the Introduction of IoT.
Innovation Support for Business (ISfB)
TheHill is part funded from the European Regional Development Fund through OxLEP’s Innovation Support for Business (ISfB) programme.
Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP) champion’s Oxfordshire’s economic potential, acting as a catalyst and convener to drive a dynamic, sustainable and growing economy. ISfB is a three-year £5.2m programme to support innovative Oxfordshire entrepreneurs and businesses.
TheHill’s current ISfB programme of workshops include our NHS Market Access Accelerator.
WE Health is an EIT Health Campus programme designed to enhance the participation of women in health innovation and entrepreneurship. WE Health empowers female health innovators by providing training specifically tailored to their needs, offering inspiration and support to help them advance in their professional careers. WE Health also aims to raise awareness of the positive economic and social impact of gender diversity in health innovation, while generating new ideas that promote innovation across the entrepreneur community in a more balanced way.
