Social mixer: TheHill’s February networking event 2020

Oxford Castle

Oxford Castle

We host a networking event every other month to bring together our community of healthcare professionals, educators and entrepreneurs. For our February networking event we’ll be coming down the hill into Oxford’s Castle Quarter and we are excited that this month we will be joined by by the Oxford Startups meetup community.

We’ll be joined by Chas Bountra who will be speaking on the topic: Leadership requires new partnerships: across Oxford, UK and the rest of the world.

Chas is Professor of Translational Medicine in the Nuffield Department of Clinical Medicine and Associate Member of the Department of Pharmacology at the University of Oxford. He is also a Visiting Professor in Neuroscience and Mental Health at Imperial College, London. Prior to coming back to Oxford six years ago, Chas was Vice President and Head of Biology at GlaxoSmithKline. He was involved in the identification of more than 40 clinical candidates for many gastro-intestinal, inflammatory and neuro-psychiatric diseases. We’ll also be talking about our new Future Digital Skills programme, upcoming 2020 events and an opportunity for researchers to interact with digital start-ups.

We’re excited to explore a new venue for our mixers and to meet some of our community who haven’t been able to attend previous events. Whether you’re in the healthcare system or outside it, whether you’re already working with us or would like to find out more about how we can help bring digital innovation into health and care, please come and join us for drinks and canapes and an evening of lively discussion.
