Our first guest on the panel is Carrie Lomas. Carrie is an executive educator and innovation leader with a first degree in Information Systems Management, an Executive MBA, and a Diploma in Strategy & Innovation from Oxford. She has led global technology organisations, from pioneer Ing e-commerce, running a $400M organisation at Intel to designing advanced AI systems at IBM. A TEDx speaker and frequent panelist exploring AI’s potential and pitfalls, she teaches on programmes including, Oxford’s Diploma in AI, MBA, EMBA alongside running a startup that develops AI solutions strengthening sustainability, resilience, and ethical decision‑making across global supply chains. Her work focuses on how responsible technology can improve outcomes for people, communities, and the planet.

Also joining the panel is Dr Jana Sedlakova, a postdoctoral researcher at the Ethox Centre, part of the University of Oxford. She will share insights on the ethics of AI and AI acting as a person.
