Workshop: User Centred Design in a healthcare context

TheHill Oxford is hosting a workshop, for the Innovation Support for Business (ISfB) Programme, on User Centred Design in a healthcare context, run by local design and innovation firm, Triteq. In this workshop you will learn about the principles of and best practice in user-centred design and gain an understanding of how to apply this methodology to your own project.

User-centred design is no longer optional; it is necessary. It has become a key tool to ensure the success of new medical innovations, particularly devices and digital systems. Systems need to be designed to fit with the habits and practices of professional staff and, increasingly, patients themselves. If users are to harness the technology effectively, it must be designed for them. User centred design is a framework which enables this.

Who should attend?

Incorporated start-ups / registered sole trader entrepreneurs with digital health innovations and early stage teams who have not yet incorporated but may have an interest and be about to do so.

What will I learn?

In this workshop you will learn about the principles of user-centred design, hear best-practice examples and gain an understanding of how to apply this methodology to your own project.

The Hill is hosting a social mixer event on the 3 April 2019, after this workshop.
